Pricing: free to start, Pro when you scale

Convert bank statements to Excel or CSV free, or go Pro for unlimited and batch conversions.

ConvertFin turns a PDF bank statement into a clean Excel or CSV file, right in your browser. Most people never pay a cent. The Free plan handles up to 5 conversions a day, exports to both .xlsx and CSV, and never asks you to create an account. When you need more, unlimited files or a whole folder of statements at once, the Pro plan is a flat $12 a month. That is the whole pricing story. No per-page fees, no credits to top up, no watermark to pay to remove.

The reason it can be this simple is how the tool works. ConvertFin parses your statement locally, in your browser, using pdf.js, so the file never leaves your device and is never uploaded to a server. There is no cloud processing bill for us to pass on to you, which is why the Free tier is genuinely usable rather than a teaser. If privacy is why you are here, read exactly how your files stay private.

What you get on the Free plan

The Free plan is the default and, for a lot of people, the only plan they will ever need. It includes:

  • 5 conversions per day. Each conversion turns one PDF statement into a spreadsheet. The counter resets daily.
  • Excel (.xlsx) and CSV export. Open the result directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers, or import the CSV into accounting software.
  • 100% private, nothing is uploaded. Your statement is processed on your own machine. We never receive the file.
  • No account required. No email, no signup wall. Open the page, drop in a PDF, download the spreadsheet.

Every statement is parsed into a consistent Date, Description, Amount, and Balance layout, so the output is ready to sort, filter, and reconcile the moment it opens. If you only convert the occasional statement, a monthly reconciliation, a mortgage or visa application, a year-end tax cleanup, Free is built for exactly that.

When Pro is worth it

Pro exists for volume. If you are a bookkeeper, an accountant at tax time, or anyone processing statements for multiple months or multiple accounts, the daily limit on Free gets in the way. Pro removes it and adds bulk tooling:

  • Unlimited conversions. No daily cap.
  • Batch conversion. Drop in several PDFs at once instead of one at a time.
  • Priority processing.
  • Everything in the Free plan, including the same client-side, nothing-uploaded privacy model.

Pro is $12 per month, or $99 per year if you pay annually, which works out to roughly two months free versus paying monthly. Both are the same plan. The only difference is the billing interval.

How ConvertFin pricing compares

Many bank-statement converters charge per page or per statement, or lock the whole tool behind a subscription with a hard trial limit, so a single busy month can cost more than a year of ConvertFin. Others process your PDF on their servers, which means your financial data is uploaded and stored by a third party.

ConvertFin is deliberately different on both counts. Pricing is a flat plan, not per page, so a heavy month never produces a surprise bill. And because conversion happens in your browser, the privacy guarantee holds on every plan, free or paid. It is not a premium feature you have to buy. You can convert your first statement, check the output against your PDF, and only upgrade once you have seen it work.

Billing, currency, and cancellation

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. That means Lemon Squeezy, not ConvertFin, is the seller of record on your receipt and takes care of global sales tax and VAT, so pricing is transparent wherever you are. Pro is a recurring subscription, monthly or yearly, that you can cancel at any time. When a subscription ends you simply return to the Free plan and its 5-per-day limit. Your access to the tool itself never disappears.

Start free, upgrade only if you need to

The fastest way to know whether ConvertFin fits is to run one statement through it. It is free, there is no signup, and the file stays on your device. If you mainly need Excel output, start on the convert bank statement to Excel page. If you are importing into accounting tools, the convert to CSV page is the one you want. Not sure we read your bank's format? Check the banks we support. Most major US banks work out of the box.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is ConvertFin free?

Yes. The Free plan converts up to 5 bank statements a day to Excel or CSV, with no account and nothing uploaded. You only pay if you need unlimited or batch conversions on the Pro plan.

How much does Pro cost?

Pro is $12 per month, or $99 per year if you pay annually. It adds unlimited conversions, batch conversion of multiple files at once, and priority processing on top of everything in Free.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free is capped at 5 conversions per day and handles one file at a time. Pro removes the daily limit and lets you convert several statements in a batch. Both plans keep the same privacy model: your files are never uploaded.

Do I need to create an account to use the free plan?

No. The Free plan works with no signup. You open the page, add your PDF, and download the spreadsheet.

Are there any per-page or hidden fees?

No. Pricing is a flat plan, not per page or per statement. Free costs nothing, and Pro is a single flat subscription.

Is my financial data safe when I convert a statement?

Yes. ConvertFin converts your statement locally in your browser using pdf.js, so the file is never uploaded to our servers. This is true on both the Free and Pro plans.

Can I cancel Pro?

Yes. Pro is a recurring subscription you can cancel anytime. When it ends you keep using ConvertFin on the Free plan, with its 5-conversions-per-day limit.

Which file formats do I get?

Every conversion can be exported as Excel (.xlsx) or CSV, with columns for Date, Description, Amount, and Balance, ready to open in Excel, Google Sheets, or import into accounting software.
